Our Mission

Educate. Equip. Encourage.

Our desire is that this program would not merely be acadmeic, but that it would be a life changing experience that helps each student grow closer to the Lord. We want to educate students to have a deeper understanding of God’s Word, so that they may be ready to rightly apply it in every season. We want to equip students to learn how to walk with the Lord in every moment of each day. We want to encourage students to discover their God given gifts and talents, so that they may use them to serve Him and minister to others.

Students will have time set aside each day for Daily Devotionals. We believe this is a key factor in the life of every Christian. We want students to learn the importance of starting the day with the Lord and carrying that communion into the rest of their day. Our prayer is that all of our students will desire to make God the first priority in their lives every day.

God’s Word is the foundation for all that we do. We believe in the importance of receiving sound teaching from the Word and being able to teach the Word to others. We want to be teachable while also being able to teach. We believe that a structured classroom environment provides for healthy discussions through student participation. Our prayer is that through our Biblically based classes God’s Spirit would work in the lives of the students and teachers.

Service is an essential part of our program at Transylvania Bible Institute. We believe that serving is beneficial to both us and others as it allows us to fulfill the Greatest Commandments. We want our students to have the opporuntity to experience firsthand how the Lord uses service for our sanctification and spiritual growth. Our prayer is that students will follow the example of Christ in such a way that others may see their good works and glorify our Father in heaven.

We believe that God has created each one of us with a purpose. We want to help students discover the purpose God has for their lives. Our prayer is that each student would learn to discern God’s will for him/her and obediently walk in it.

As we educate, equip, and encourage our students, we want to instill in them the importance of prioritzing the two Greatest Commandments. We love God first which compels us to love others. “We love Him because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
