Courses

Our goal at Transylvania Bible Institute is for the Word of God to come alive in the hearts of the students that they may rightly apply it in every life circumstance or experience. Our program includes a combination of live teachings, pre-recorded sermons, and group Bible study sessions. The Word of God is the foundational truth upon which we structure all of our classes.

Classes are available in both English and Romanian.

Our program at Transylvania Bible Institute is broken up into two semesters which will include the following courses:

-Genesis. We will take a look at Creation, the Fall of Man, and How Everything Began.

-The Books of the Law (Exodus-Deuteronomy). In addition to reviewing the Old Testament Law, we will learn about God’s purpose for it and how it applies to us today.

-History of Israel (Joshua-Job). This course will be broken up into a series of classes that will include topics such as God’s Heart and Character, Obedience vs. Disobedience, Leadership, The Roll of the Temple, Theocracy vs. Government, and more.

-Psalms. A series of daily devotionals.

-The Books of Solomon (Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon). From these teachings, we will learn about Godly wisdom vs. modern knowledge. We will discover practical ways to make wise decisions while being led by the Spirit of God.

-Major Prophets (Isaiah-Daniel). We will take a look at fulfilled and unfulfilled Biblical prophecies in order to understand past history and get a better picture of future events.

-Minor Prophets (Hosea-Malachi). We will learn “Why prophecy?,” “Who God chooses to speak to?,” and “Is God speaking today?”

-The Gospels. An in-depth overview of the Life and Ministry of Jesus Christ as found in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

-Early Church History (The Book of Acts). We will take a look at the missionary journeys of Paul, the early church, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. In this class, students will learn more about missions, evangelism, and the impact of the church on the world today.

-The Letters to the Churches (Romans-Jude). Here we will learn more about theology, doctrine, church government, our rolls as believers, and the pursuit of Godliness.

-Revelation We will look at the End Times, prophecies that are being fulfilled today, the roll of the antichrist, the return of Jesus for His church, and how we can be ready.

-Inductive Bible Study. Here students will learn how to structure a sermon or Bible study. They will be trained and equipped to know how to study the Word of God on their own, rightly apply it to daily living, and be best prepared to teach others.

-Leaders & Followers. We will learn how to lead and how to be second.

-Individual Men’s and Women’s Classes. Each week, students will break up into separate classes based on gender in order to understand their God given rolls in the church, the family, and society.

-Biblical Counseling. Here we will look at Biblical examples and Scriptures that teach us how to best minister with the heart of Christ in a hurting world. We will first learn to receive Christ’s healing and forgiveness, and then be equipped to offer it to others.

In addition to academics, students will have ample opportunities to experience the mission field and practically apply the things they are learning. We will learn to become the disciples that Christ intended us to be as we see firsthand what it means “to be living sacrifices,” “to wash the feet of others,” and “to love our neighbors as ourselves.” The goal is to educate, equip, and encourage.

“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
